MAYER, Sharon Elizabeth, age 70, of Rochester Hills, died Sunday, August 18, 2013. She was born February 21, 1943, in Detroit to the late Gordon and Wilhelmine Anderson. For many years she was a salesperson for the Plain and Fancy Gift Shop in downtown Rochester. Besides being a wife and mother to her three sons, she loved her home and the caring for all of her flowers. On July 25, 1964, she was united in marriage to Nelson George Mayer and was blessed with her three sons, Christopher, Eric and Kurt and was the grandmother of Roderick Mayer. Also surviving her is her sister, Selma (Daniel) Mularski. Family services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. Universisty Drive in downtown Rochester; her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of Services. Memorial contributions in Sharon’s name may be directed to the Michigan Humane Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
