Terrence Joseph O'Connor

O’CONNOR, Terrence J., “Terry”, age 82, a Rochester resident for over fifty-one years, died February 9, 2011. A graduate of the University of Detroit, he was a land developer and home builder and was well known as the creator of the Oakland Valley subdivision. A man who loved golfing and sailing, he was the former president of the Rochester Rotary and sat on the board of directors of Crittenton Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen O’Connor, whom he married September 10, 1949. Father of Deborah (Kevin) Groth, Daniel O’Connor, Timothy O’Connor, Terrence “TJ” (Jennifer) O’Connor, Jr., and Kevin (Cindy) O’Connor. Grandfather of Ryan, Justin, Shannon, Maxton and Madeline. Brother of Patricia O’Connor. Brother-in-law of John (Joyce) Amazeen. Memorial Mass 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood @ Northwood St. in Rochester. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in Rochester.
