William Walter Green, age 77, passed away Saturday March 7, 2020. Bill was born the son of James and Lucille (Clark) Green on November 25, 1942, in Easley, South Carolina. Bill graduated from Avondale High School in 1961. He married Carol Morell on September 21, 1963, in Cass City, Michigan. Bill and Carol raised their family in Rochester Hills. Bill’s most cherished thing in life was his family. Over the years, he attended hundreds of sporting events and band/orchestra concerts to watch his children and grandchildren. Being outdoors, hunting, fixing things, and working on his Corvette also brought him great joy. Bill is survived by Carol Green, his loving companion and best friend for 56 years; children, Lesley Gaber (Rochester Hills) and Jill Cummins (Clarkston); grandchildren, Justin, Riley, Spencer, Sidney, and Cooper; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents James and Lucille (Clark) Green, and sister, Faye Smith. Bill’s family will host a visitation at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester on Wednesday March 11th, from 10am until noon. A funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation.
