Amy has been my stepdaughter for almost 40 of her 50 years. As a child, she was sweet, kind, fun and feisty. I remember a kids sleepover when I tucked everyone into their sleeping bags and called her “baby girl” as an endearment. She let me know in no uncertain terms that she was not a baby. Well ok then!
Amy’s teenage years were a challenge and often heartbreaking but with love and perseverance we got through it.
Amy loved to clean house - good grief! As a little girl, she would want to help clean our house and as an adult she cleaned for others - including Bernie, her stepdad, after her Mom died.
Amy was so proud of her son and granddaughter, Nathan and Lily. Her life revolved around them and her cat, Misty. She was so blessed to have them.
I’m going to miss her annual Xmas wish list which she religiously sent to me mid-November each year. And I’m going to desperately miss her presence at our family gatherings.
She’s at peace now and with Hadley (“My Dad”) and her Mom.
I love you “baby girl” ❤️

Although I havent seen or spoken to Amy in 29 years, our time as kids and best friends seems like it was yesterday. Wonderful memories that I will cherish forever.
My thoughts and prayers to her family. Rejoice in the thought that she is now Amy again, happy, healed & healthy in the care of our Lord & Savior.
Until we meet again my friend, I love you. Rest in peace.
