Carl B. Turner, age 78, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Hugh Turner. He is survived by his longtime companion, Regina Pape; his brothers, Hugh Turner and Tom (Patty) Turner; his niece, Laura (Chris) Young; and nephew, William Turner. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carl was known for his adventurous spirit. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, and he was an avid outdoorsman. His love for traveling took him to many places, with a particular fondness for South America. In addition to his personal interests, Carl was an active member of the Rochester Brooks Gun Club, where he served on the board. His contributions there and his enthusiastic participation in activities will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation from 4-7pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Carl with a contribution to Ducks Unlimited or the Rochester Brooks Gun Club.
