

Charles was born in Sicily, Italy on Sept. 27th, 1943 to Giuseppe and Giovanna Cutaia. At 9 years old his mother moved the family to Rochester, NY. There he met the love of his life, Bonita Cutaia. They would be celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary on June 23rd this year.
Charles has been the owner and operator of Cutaia’s Meat Market on Chili Ave. since he opened it in 1972. The hours outside of work were spent bowling and golfing, his two favorite pastimes.
Predeceased by his parents, and his brother, Francisco Cutaia and brother-in-law, Salvatore Martella.
Survived by his beloved wife, “Bonnie” Cutaia and their children, Joseph (Kim) Cutaia, Charles T. Cutaia, and Michael (Kelly) Cutaia; grandchildren: C.J., Alyssa, Sawyer and Liliana Cutaia; siblings: Doris (Albert) Grimaudo, Antionette Martella, Joan (Fred) Mione, Joseph Cutaia, Salvatore Cutaia, Angelo (Nancy) Cutaia and sister-in-law, Theresa Cutaia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by friends, family and the customers of the Market that became both.
Relatives & friends may call on Thurs. June 9th, from 4:00-7:00PM at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave. A Funeral Mass to be held at 9:30am on Fri. June 10th at St. Helen’s Church, 310 Hinchey Rd. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
