E. Lynn Smyth

Lynn was born in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest child of Hugh and Elizabeth Smyth who predeceased him. He was raised in Chicago and later in Watertown, Wisconsin. Lynn graduated from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. He worked for many years as a regional sales manager for Triad Computer Services and COS Computer Systems.

In addition to his parents, Lynn was predeceased by his sister, Jean Beck. Lynn is survived by his wife, Nancy Smyth, his children, Jeremy (Jackie) Smyth of Chittenango, New York, Erin (Paul) Everard of Somerville, Massachusetts; Murphy Smyth and Danny Smyth of Rochester, his grandchildren; Hayley, Colin, Ryan, Kate and Brenden and his sister, Donna DeNeui of Chicago, along with many dear relatives and friends.

Lynn will be remembered for his kind heart, his great sense of humor and his extraordinary love for his family.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gates Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 17th at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in his memory to Lynn’s favorite charity; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the youth program at Gates Presbyterian Church.
