I just read of Lynn's passing in the U of R School of Nursing alum publication. Lynn was my classmate in the University of Rochester doctoral program. Lynn had a wonderful sense of humor coupled with compassion. Her insights were spot on and always appreciated. I am saddened by her loss. May her candle burn brightly for her loved ones, friends, and for all whose lives she touched in her kind and caring way.

I'm so saddened by Lynn's passing.  I couldn't have seen my research project through without her!  She always asked the difficult questions and exhibited colossal patience!

Dr. Nichols was a great person and a great asset to the Rochester General Research Department. We will miss her deeply. I was fortunate to have Lynn Nichols as a professor at SUNY Plattsburgh, class of 1978. She was an inspirational teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

At first Lynn was my Pharmacology professor and my boyfriends mother. What she became, and remained for 23 years, is my beloved Mother-in-law, friend and wonderful Grandmother to my children.  Thank You Mother Nichols!  We love you!

As a classmate of Lynn's Bloomfield Class of 1957, I think back of Lynn as the smart and resourceful student who could always be counted on to do her share of class tasks.

We are all so fortunate for your memories of Lynn.  Thank you all for sharing!  When I saw her referred to as "Doc," I remembered that I would call her with my Bugs Bunny voice and say "What's up, Doc?" when she answered the phone, just so her head wouldn't get too large!  She was my big sister after all.  I was so proud of the first doctor in our family and Lynn was a wonderful role model for me.
