Bonita M. "Bonnie" Contenta, age 86, of New Brighton, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born June 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth (George) Betz. She worked in retail in several places before her retirement in 2001. Bonnie loved square dancing, bingo, and going to the casino with her circle of friends.
She is survived by two daughters; Gloria Dishong, Dana Contenta; two sons; James (Barbara) Contenta, and Daniel Contenta. She is also survived seven grandchildren; Suzanne, Heather, Nicole, Joey, Danny, Carissa and Hunter, and eight great grandchildren; Devin, Brooklynn, Kayla, Lily, Lincoln, Cariana, Dominic and Emberly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Margaret Holman.
Due to COVID restrictions a private visitation and funeral was held for family and close friends at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
