Claude K. “Whitey” Rady, 75, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. He was born October 17, 1944 in Sewickley, son of the late Roy J. and Anna M. (Swogger) Rady. Known by friends and family as Whitey, he proudly served his country with the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne, during the Vietnam War.
He was a retired construction engineer with Ro-Med Construction, employed from 1971 to 1999, primarily in the Asphalt Division. In his leisure, Whitey enjoyed creating and constructing fun outdoor living spaces such as decks, ponds and patios. His attention to detail and craftsmanship was second to none. Whitey was a member, and Past Exalted Ruler, of Elks Lodge #1221, Aliquippa. He was a member of St. Monica Parish (formerly Christ the Divine Teacher).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by spouses: Penelope and Carol; and his sister: Gee King.
Whitey is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Noelle and Christopher Panza, Pittsburgh; and Holly Feher, Wellsburg, WV; four grandchildren; Giorgio Panza, Troy Panza; Kaitlyn Feher and Kurt Feher; one great granddaughter: Raegan; his beloved friend: Cindy Welsh; his brother: Edward Rady, Germany; sister: Phosie Lotze, San Bernardino, CA; and extended family.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
Military Honors will be presented by members of the Beaver County Special Unit at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
