

George “Ed” Knight, 58, of Conway, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 16, 1955 in Pittsburgh. Known as Ed by family and friends, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. For a number of years, Ed and his wife Terrie operated a Day Care . Ed was a school bus driver for Rhodes. All of the children affectionately called him “Pap” and he loved the bus kids. He enjoyed camping in Erie with the family and looked forward to those relaxing times.
In addition to brothers and sisters, Ed was preceded in death by his mother: Blanche Swartzlander.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Terrie (Krehnovi) Knight; one son and daughter-in-law: Denium and Darcy Knight, North Sewickley Township; two daughters: Ra-Nell Chandler, Baden; Ariena Knight, New Port Richey, FL; three grandchildren: Corban Knight, Carter Knight and Colter Chandler; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Duke and Inez Hixenbaugh; Darryl and Maria Wolfe; Eugene Wolfe; sisters and brothers-in-law: Daisy Wolfe; Marge and Bill Shape; Sheila and Russell Wilson; Lisa and George Frech; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 3 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Manypenny, Mayfield Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
