James Charles Deane, Jr., 64 of New Sewickley Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 26, 1955 in Butler, son of James Charles and Patricia (Gallagher) Deane, Sr., currently of New Brighton. Jim served his country during the Vietnam War with the Construction Group of the U.S. Navy, commonly known as the Seabees. He was a retired HVAC Service Technician with over 20 years of service at Climatech, Inc.
Love for family was important to Jim. He was an avid fisherman. Jim enjoyed spending time with his boys, camping, hunting, and fishing in lakes, rivers and streams. He also had a passion for cars and often frequented car shows. Jim loved sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pirates and NASCAR. His Saturdays and Sundays revolved around getting all of his chores done so he could recline and watch football and NASCAR. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Rochester.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother-in-law: Wayne Ceratti.
He is survived by his wife: Kelley (Wilkinson) Deane, New Sewickley Township; his parents: James and Patricia (Gallagher) Deane, Sr., New Brighton; two sons: Robert Deane, New Sewickley Township; Samuel “Sam” Deane, Pittsburgh; one brother and sister-in-law: Timothy “Tim” (Christina) Deane, San Francisco, CA; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Cathy (Ron) Wink, New Brighton; Colleen Deane, Ft. Myers, FL; Chris Ceratti, New Brighton; brothers-in-law: Tom Wilkinson and his wife Kim, Mars, PA; Robert Wilkinson, Hilliard, FL, Jack Wilkinson, Valencia, PA; sister-in-law: Jill Wilkinson, Valencia, PA, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at ST. CECILIA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 628 Virginia Ave, Rochester, PA 15074.
