Jo Marshall, 83, of Rochester, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born August 7, 1934 in Freedom, daughter of the late James and Juanita (Hoffman) Fraser. In earlier years she spent a little of her leisure time crocheting. For over twenty years, Jo was a bartender at the Rochester VFW. Long, and sometimes late hours, were easily offset by the friendships she made with the regulars. But her greatest love and enjoyment came during the years of helping to care for her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her daughter: Jodi Lynn Marshall in 1987; two brothers: Anthony Wade “Patch” Fraser and James “Bob” Fraser; two sisters: Myrlin Fraser and Nan Carcase.
Jo is survived by one son: J.R. Marshall, Rochester; two daughters and sons-in-law: Jackie (Scott) Ross, Patterson Township; Jeannette (Chuck) Hergenroeder, Bethel Park, PA; three grandchildren: Samantha (Eric) Gerkins; Joy (Nick) Frisk; Christopher (Amber Hovanak) Ross; five great grandchildren: McKenzie, Austin, Silvana, Lorenzo and Ethan; one sister: Bea Morack, Monaca.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A service to honor and celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the funeral home. Private interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion, Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
