Larry Thomas Stretch, 81, of New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Larry was a lifelong electrician whose skills were first honed in the U.S. Navy. He faithfully served his country for four years and was honorably discharged.
Following his military service, Larry built a long and dedicated career with Babcock & Wilcox and the Y.M.C.A. Known for his craftsmanship, he was a skilled carpenter and often did odd jobs for friends and relatives. He was also a constant jokester—his teasing charm occasionally earning a loving eye-roll from his wife. In retirement, Larry and his wife made cherished memories traveling the world.
Larry was an avid golfer who spent many weeknights at Fox Run Golf Course with his golfing buddies, finishing the evenings with a few beers and plenty of laughs. One of his greatest accomplishments was his hole in one while golfing in Myrtle Beach. He enjoyed a wide array of sports, especially basketball, and could often be found at the Y, “shooting the breeze” and playfully harassing the staff, who knew him well and appreciated his good nature.
Larry is survived by his spouse, Patricia Frantz Stretch; his daughter, Deborah Charleson, and her spouse Brian; grandchildren, Brittany Charleson and Taylor Gilson, spouse Justin; great-grandchildren, Brodie, Jameson, and Jackson, as well as nieces and nephews; Lori Dominick-Bagaric, Larry, Ronnie, and Jimmy Hahn.
