Mary Mcmahon

Mary M. McMahon, 72 of New Sewickley Township, passed away, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at her daughter’s residence. She was born April 29, 1938 in Sewickley, daughter of the late George and Nellie (Holland) Urda. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She supported her children and grandchildren having served many years as a Den Mother for Cub Scouts or a Girl Scout Leader. She was a great Girl Scout Cookie seller. Mary was a member of the Big Knob Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Rochester Wesleyan Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband William “Bill” McMahon, April 30, 2009; a grandson: Alexander McMahon in 1989; and a nephew: George Masson in 2008.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Carl and Sandra McMahon, Koppel; Scott and Nancy McMahon, Rochester; her daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Daniel Stasiowski, New Brighton; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Ruth Gatehouse, Baden, PA; Sandy and Tom Miguel, Hagerstown, MD; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m., with Pastor Darrell Cashdollar and Pastor Donald McNeil, officiating. Following her visitation and service, in honor of her wishes, she will be cremated.
