Naomi F. (Snaufer) Feits, 102, of Daugherty Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 while under the compassionate care of the staff at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Beaver Township. Naomi was blessed with a long life of independence as she lived at home until just a few weeks prior to her passing.
Born June 7, 1913 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Sarah Snaufer. She took great pride in being a homemaker. Her home was always filled with the smell of homemade bread, cakes or pies. Her baking legacy lives on as several of her recipes have been handed down to family and close friends. When able, she enjoyed being outdoors tending to her beautiful flower gardens that were always well maintained. Naomi attended the First Baptist Church of New Brighton.
In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Blair Feits on February 16, 1999; and her brother and sister–in-law: Howard and Leona Snaufer.
She is survived by her sons: Ronald Feits of New Brighton and Terry Feits of New Castle; her grandchildren: Michelle Feits, Atlanta, GA; and Gregory (Andrea) Feits, Richmond, VA; and one great granddaughter: Dahlia Blair Feits.
In honor of her wishes, cremation arrangements and a private family service for Naomi were handled through the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
The family wishes to express thanks to the staff at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their exceptional care. On line condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com.
