Rita A. Stoops

Rita A. (Morris) Stoops, age 57, of Rochester, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Rita was born October 20, 1964, she was the daughter of Martha and the late Melvin Morris. Rita was employed by Q-Cast, as well as West Hills Rehab, and T-Bones. She was a 1983 graduate of Blackhawk High School, she loved to fish, read, and cook. Rita was a loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, sister, aunt, and caregiver. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially at her annual 'Stoops Soups' bonfire, she was the go to person for planning family events.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, William Stoops, whom she enjoyed her weekly movie date night with; two daughters; Emily (Jon) Caplinger, and Candace Stoops. Also surviving are one brother; Timothy (Tracy) Morris, and two sisters; Renee (Allan) Sarver and Rose (Bruce) Harris, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her fur grandbabies; Hyde, Floyd, and Jack.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her mother in law, Virginia A. Stoops.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6pm until the time of funeral services at 8pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
