

Robert Charles Weaver, New Sewickley Township, former of Conway, passed on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at his residence, with his loving family at his side. He was born October 1, 1931 in Mercer, PA, son of the late Edward and Dorothy (McKee) Weaver.
Bob retired after as a general foreman, after 33 years of service in the By-Products Department of J&L Steel, Aliquippa Works. He very much enjoyed the outdoors. Bob planted a garden each year and could always be found next to Hilda Mae when it was canning season. He was an avid sportsman who liked to fish and hunt. Bob was a founding member and past president of the Beaver Valley Archers; and a member of Pine Run Sportsman Club. He was a life member of the Freedom Little Bulldogs Football Organization. Bob felt it a privilege to coach many years in the Midget Football Program. He treasured the title “Coach”, a name that seemed to stay with him long beyond the coaching years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Lawrence.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Hilda Mae (Davis) Weaver; three sons and daughters-in-law: Jay and Darlene Weaver, New Brighton; Randy and Jennifer Weaver, Priceville, AL; Ryan Weaver, Sheffield, PA; one daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Fred Haddad, Monaca, PA; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Leonard and Dorothy Weaver, Peoria, AZ; one sister: Dorothy McBride, Beaver as well as nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
