Sylvia V. Heater

Sylvia Virginia (Cardinali) Heater, age 96, entered the gates of Heaven to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Magnolia Place in Saxonburg. Born August 14, 1928, in Ambridge, she was the oldest of six children and daughter of the late Giancinto and Lettera (Sacco) Cardinali. Sylvia lived a life marked by deep faith, unwavering love for her family, and a spirit of kindness that touched everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend, whose strength, grace and compassion left a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands; Frank Halicek and Charles Heater; one son, Frank Joseph Halicek; one brother, Carl J. Cardinali and two sisters, Angeline Huston and Corina J. Taylor.

She is survived by her beloved son, John Daniel Halicek, her sister, Lucille Benaquisto, a brother, James Cardinali and four stepchildren; Judy L. Bernard, Charles R. Heater, Karen Watterson and Debra Friel.

Sylvia's life was a beautiful testament to her faith, her family, and her resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and devotion that will love on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will be cherished forever.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 11am to 12 noon at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA, 15074. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1pm at the St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Ambridge worship site, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, PA, 15003.
