Barbara Lee (Helmer) Stufflebeam Head, 90, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. Barbara was the daughter of Donald and Blanche Helmer, born on Valentine’s Day in 1935. She retired from Harlem School District as a bus driver for many years. Barbara found a great sense of joy and fulfillment in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Karon Graf (Rick), Donna Bouma (Brad), and Jan McLean; grandchildren, Daniel Graf (Jessica), Sarah Weibel (Matt), Marcie Crawford (Doug), Michael (Ali) Bouma, Matthew Bouma, Marcus Bouma (Lynn), and Angela Bouma; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth, Delaney, Owen, Bode, Nicholas, Matthew, Sam, Ian, Andrew, Nora, Gavin, and Gabriel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Blanche; brother, Wayne Helmer; sisters, Connie Hickey and Sharon Nelson; spouses, Eugene Stufflebeam and Davie Head; grandson, Paul Waters.
