Betty Alice Emery

Betty Alice Emery, 87, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Born July 12, 1930 in Rockford. Daughter of Walter and Alice (Johnson) Larson. Attended several local area schools as her father was a farmer and rented dairy farms. Graduate of East High School class of 1948. Worked at 3rd National Bank from 1948 until retirement. Lamont Emery swept her off her feet and they were married September 3, 1948 in a home wedding officiated by her uncle the Rev. Elmer Johnson. Original founder and lifelong member of Maywood Evangelical Free Church. Volunteered at Fairhaven and taught Sunday school.

Survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Lamont; sons, Cal, Stan (Sue), Randy (Ingrid); grandchildren, Melissa, Lindsay, Kelsey, Haley and Alex; siblings, Barb Sherman, Bernice Shaffer, Andy (Faye) Larson; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
