Calvin L. "Cal" Emery, 73, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully, on November 4, 2025 at Agrace Hospice in Madison, WI. He was born June 6, 1952 in Rockford, IL, the son of Lamont and Betty (Larson) Emery. He is predeceased by his parents, Lamont and Betty Emery. Cal will be remembered by his brothers, Stan (Susan) Emery and Randy (Ingrid) Emery, as well as 13 nieces and nephews. He was raised in Rockford, IL and graduated from Guilford High School, Grinnell College and received his Master's Degree in business from the University of California. Cal loved to travel and explore the world. He lived in LA, Dallas, London and New York City during 9/11, and retired to Rockford years later.

Cal will be remembered for his smart ass humor.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St, Rockford, IL 61102.
