Dennis Ray Gibson, 71, of Rockford, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, September 26, 2016. Born October 1, 1944, in Middlesboro, KY; son of Harry and Maxine (White) Gibson. Married Sylvia Daniels on December 5, 1964. Employed in the manufacturing industry for the last 27 years, having worked at National Lock, Camcar Textron and Elco. Favorite pastimes were fishing, singing and playing guitar. His pride and joy was his daughter and grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife, Sylvia; daughter, Lisa (Brad) Hamilton; grandchildren, Zachary Fieldsend, Ashley (Tim Perez) Blair; great-grandchild, Sawyer Thomas Kiger; siblings, Ann (John) Douglas, David (Lesia) Gibson; in-laws, Brenda (Chuck) Shelby, Vernon Daniels; several nieces and nephews; special little buddy, Lucky. Predeceased by his parents.
