Irene A Beetle

Irene A Beetle, aged 83, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1942 to Dale and Edna (Spohnholz) Long in Rockford, Illinois. Irene married the love of her life, Robert Beetle on September 19,1964 and they were together for 32 wonderful years before he passed in 1996.

Irene enjoyed playing cards and BINGO with her friends at Morning Star Village. While at Morning Star Village, Irene blossomed into herself, she became outgoing and encouraged all the new residents that they would love it there as much as she did. In her younger years she enjoyed spending time at her lake house. She enjoyed going shopping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially to go out to eat.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Alan) Amerine, Deserie (David) Crogan, and Dale (Heather) Beetle; grandchildren, Jordan Amerine, Sabrina Crogan, Aidan Beetle, and Avery (Vashta) Beetle; brothers, Chester (Jorgianne) Long, Norman (Melinda) Long; sister-in-law, Diana Long; and friend, Tonia Morris; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beetle; parents, Dale and Edna Long; and brother, Dwayne Long.

A burial of ashes will occur at Arlington Memorial Park at a later date.

A Celebration of Life for Irene will be held on Sunday, September 28 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at The Twisted Tulip, 7901 Burden Rd, Machesney Park, illinois 61115.
