Jennifer “Jen” E. Rieffer, 59, of Ridott, IL passed away on November 4, 2025, in Freeport, Illinois. She was born July 12, 1966, in Rockford, Illinois, to Daniel and Marjorie Rieffer. Jen attended Harlem High School before furthering her education at Rock Valley College and becoming a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Jen was extremely devoted to patient care, making sure to get every detail just right. Jen was proud of the work she had done at River Bluff nursing home. She will be remembered by her friends she met there for having the softest heart and the warmest hugs.
Jen was not only a wonderful caregiver, but also a wonderful mother. Her children were everything to her. They have fond memories of going out to eat, especially at Uncle Nick’s near downtown, and listening to music while going for drives.
Jennifer is survived by her son, Justin Rieffer of Rockford, IL; daughter, Chantell Brooke Milner of Rockford, IL; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Arthur Rieffer, Bobby Peavler, Troy Carr, Sharon Cook; sisters-in-law, Jody Rieffer and Charlene Rieffer; many nieces and nephews.
Jen is preceded into death by her infant son, Javin Lee Rieffer; parents, Daniel and Marjorie; brothers, Joe Rieffer and Gene Rieffer.
Jennifer's services were conducted privately surrounded by her family.
