Joshua Wayne Carlson-Beilfuss, age 42, passed on April 4, 2026. Born June 24, 1983, in Rockford, IL, the son of Ronald and Debra (Shellstrom) Beilfuss, Sr. Josh had a love of fishing and went whenever he could. He enjoyed gardening and finding rocks. Josh was a talented handyman and could fix almost anything. Most of all, Josh wanted to help anyone whenever he could.
Josh is loved and missed by his children, Geno Martinez, Riley Carlson-Beilfuss and Marley Carlson-Beilfuss; mother, Debra Sink; father, Ronald Beilfuss, Sr.; siblings, April (Benjamin) Fouke, Ronald (Crystal) Beilfuss, Jr., Nicole Betts, Jake (Brandi) Yungen and Erik Yungen; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and uncle Dave Shellstrom.
Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, IL 61102, US, on April 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
