Judith Murelle Schandelmeier, 88, of Loves park, IL passed away May 3, 2018. Born April 26, 1930 to Theodore and Mildred Friberg. In a life well celebrated, Judy married Merle on November 19, 1948. Together they graced the floors of the Townhall with their beautiful ballroom and square dancing talents. She was an avid gardener, dancer and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the L.D.S.. Judy collected “Snoopy” memorabilia and traveled to California to personally meet Charles Schultz. Judy was a selfless person, with a shared talent in knitting. She provided great joy and comfort by knitting hats for the preemie babies in the hospital and warm mittens that she donated to the helping tree at the library and for children who visited Severson Dells. Her family was a recipient of her skills as well, knitting many socks and sweaters for Merle. Judy was an excellent cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
