Leo Louis Peters, 85, of Rockford died Friday, October 15, 2010. Born February 24, 1925 in Balltown, IA, the son of Fred G. and Matilda L. (Louis) Peters. Leo worked as a fork lift operator at Rockford Products for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and belonged to the senior citizen society for the hearing impaired. Leo married Rose Mary Fabert March 14, 1953 in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death December 3, 2004. Survivors include son Lee (Kathie) Peters, grandsons, Chris (Marianne), Brandon (Sara), Ryan (Rylee) and Daniel Peters all of Rockford, IL, granddaughter, Jennifer Peters of Sacramento, CA, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, brother Clifford and sister, Polly both of WI. He was preceded in death by one son Larry in 1996. Special thanks to the wonderful caring people at hospice. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in Willwood Burial Park
