Mark Edward Rucker, 57, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on January 5, 2026. Mark was born in Rockford to Wilbur and Arizona Rucker on December 22, 1968. From an early age, Mark showed extreme interest and talent in concrete construction, eventually turning this passion into a legacy with Rucker Concrete in 2002. Mark made sure every single job he did exceeded all expectations, as he was proud of the work he did. When he found the time outside of work, he loved spending time in his yard. His landscaping skills were just as impressive as his concrete work, with gardens, ponds, and even lighting to show for it. When he was inside the house, chances are he had WWE on, and was spending time with his pups, Bayla, Tigger, and Lilly. Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He made sure to do whatever they wanted and had plenty of candy to go around.
He is survived by his children, Zachery (Kayla) Rucker, Carissa (James) Sweeny, and Danyell (Damian) Barickman; grandchildren, Jeramiah Sweeny, Hadley West, Isaiah Sweeny, Gracie Rucker, Kayleeonah Sweeny, and Baby Rucker arriving in 2026; girlfriend, Teresa Lucas; sister, Tammy Jamison; several nieces and nephews; cousin, Larry Wooley; mother of his children, Janet Roser; best-friends, Jerry Mesch and Mike Trimble.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Arizona; sisters, Penny Rucker and Cheri Rucker; niece, Nikki Rucker.
