Nicholas A. Tapp, 29, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on January 1, 2026. Nikki was born on August 1, 1996, in Rockford to Norman and Debra Tapp. He attended Berean Baptist Christian School. Nikki was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved to go golfing with his dad in the warmer seasons. He also loved his Honda Civic, and more recently found great joy with his new kitten, Carl.
He is survived by his parents, Norman and Debra; brother, Alexander (Rebekah) Tapp; sister, Kirsten (Zachary) Brace; grandmother, Leona Tapp; aunts and uncles, Sandra (Bill) Roberts, Sherry (Jeff) Naskrent, James Clinnin Jr., Kevin (Julie) Tapp, Delton Tapp, Barry (Kathy) Tapp, Donna (Bill) Beaird, and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Donna Clinnin, paternal grandfather, Jimmy Tapp.
Services for Nikki will take place privately.
