Phyllis J. Miller

Phyllis J. Miller, age 83, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Field Crest Care Center with family by her side. She was born April 14, 1938 to Beulah and Orval Dobbs in Thayer, Missouri. Phyllis had six siblings; three brothers: Orval, Lawrence (Larry), and Marion, and three sisters: Judy, Linda, and Marla. Phyllis married Eugene Martin and they were blessed with five children: Edward (Ed), Julena, Paul, Karl, and Keith. Later in life, Phyllis remarried to Donald Miller, Sr. and she gained three step-children: Kevin, Donald, Jr., and Vicki. Phyllis worked for H&R Block and prepared taxes for over 30 years.

Phyllis was extremely proud of all her children, step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Phyllis enjoyed tatting, sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching, going to church and bible study, traveling, and most importantly spending time with family.

Phyllis is survived by her children: Edward (Ed) Martin, Paul (Brenda) Martin, Karl Martin, Keith (Rhonda) Martin, Donald Miller, Jr., Kevin Miller, Sr., and Vicki Miller (Larry Hemmer). Phyllis is survived by her sisters: Judy Roy, Linda Restel, and Marla (Larry) Arcadi. Phyllis is survived by her granddaughter Julie (Ryan) Ristau, grandson Ryan (Crysta) Martin, granddaughter Alissa Martin, and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad (Orval Dobbs), her mom (Beulah Keller Dobbs), her daughter (Julena Martin), her husband (Donald Miller, Sr.), her brothers (Orval Dobbs, Larry Dobbs, and Marion Dobbs), and her granddaughter (Ashley Martin).

A Memorial Graveside Service will take place at Willwood Burial Park (7000 W. State Street, Rockford, IL 61102). Inurment to follow the Graveside Service.
