Richard E. York, 74, formerly of Rockford, passed away on September 25, 2012 in Richland, MO. Born on January 23, 1938 in Elkhorn, WI, he was the son of the late Everette and Dorothy (Durni) York. He was the husband of Gerry York.
Survivors include his daughter, Lynn (Troy) Frederick; step-son, Lawrence (Lynette) Hanson; step-daughter, Charleen (Gary) Osterberg; grandchildren, Randall and Lane Frederick, Aryanna, Brittney, and Connor Hanson, Nicholas Bender, Tiffanie (Darius) McCaskey, and Nicole (Mike) Lee; great-grandchildren, Muirne McCaskey, Hannah and Dylan Lee; brother-in-law, Robert VanBuskirk; and several loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his sister, Arlene VanBuskirk.
Funeral services 11a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State Street, Rockford. Visitation 10 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
