Robert "Bob" A. Bunjes, age 68, of Davis, Illinois passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Bob was born in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Robert O. and Dorothy (Heuer) Bunjes. He graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1975. Bob was employed at Logli/Schnucks as a meat cutter. He married Petra Tresl on March 21, 2019. Bob a true outdoorsman, especially hunting, fishing, and boating. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Bob always had a good joke or a "fish" story to tell. He had a very positive outlook, always looking on the bright side of everything till the day he left.
Bob is loved and missed by his wife, Petra; daughter, Christina (Luke) Swiskoski; son, Ryan Bunjes; step-children, Petra Sedlacek and Cody Wissel; grandchildren, Dane and Jax Hiner, Connor Swiskoski; sister, Linda (Mike) Parent; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and forever friends; and mother of his children, Rhonda (Jordan) Brierton and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at Prairie Street Brewing Co, located at 200 Prairie Street Rockford, IL 61107 on Saturday, August 9th, from 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
