Willie Gene Lider, 64, of Rockford, passed away peacefully and answered God’s calling to go home on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. Born April 26, 1954 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Son of Willie Art and Betty Imogene (May) Lider. Over his lifetime Willie worked many different jobs from Green Giant to car washing and detailing to mowing grass. His love of washing cars carried over to his purchasing and selling cars that probably made car dealerships richer. Willie enjoyed going out for meals with his sisters, going to church and fellowship, Christian radio and going for walks across the West State Street Bridge. Willie loved many different foods from spaghetti, hot sauce, eggnog to chips and chile. Willie had a great love for his family and for Christ our Savoir. Willie was a very loving man who would never say no to anybody. We will always carry our memories in our hearts of Willie. Family would like to especially thank Ron and Linda for being there for Willie.
Survived by his loving sisters, Sharanna Stinnette, Judy (Mike) Follis, Loretta Lider, Rose (Jerry) Follis; nieces and nephews, Ricky (Cyndi) Lider, Tina Duncan, Michael (Christie) Follis, Scott Follis, Daniel (Michelle) Follis, Larry (Danielle) Hanley, Lisa Lider, Timothy (Jackie) Lider, Thomas Follis; several great nieces and nephews.
