Harley David McCaffrey

Harley married the love of his life, Cindy Barrett, on February 14, 1981. Together, they built a life rooted in love and family. They welcomed their daughter Jessica Leigh, in August 1981, followed by their son, John Michael, in June 1983.

For many years, Harley was employed by Community Energy in Rumford, Maine. Outside of work, he was known for the things that brought him joy - motorcycles, guitars, and spending time at Black Bridge with his dogs, Bubsky and Dillon. Many summers were spent at Worthley Pond, where he happily filled gas tanks for the minibike and boat so his children and their friends could enjoy endless days on the water. Harley was truly the life of the party and was always ready with a good laugh.

Harley made many cherished memories with his lifelong friends, including Danny and Sue Tozier of Peru, Jimmy Boyle of Virginia, and Mary Boyle of Greene.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cindy, in June 2015; his son, John in May 2017; his parents, John and Mary McCaffrey; his sisters Elizabeth "Sissy" McCaffrey and Donna Adams; his brothers - in - law, Greg Barrett, Mark Barrett, and Wally Barrett; and his in laws, Betty and Wally Barrett.

Harley is survived by his daughter, Jessica and her partner, Andre, of South Portland, Maine; his sister, Bobbie Jean, and her partner, Gary, of Rumford; his sister - in - law, Kathy Barrett of Mexico; his brother - in - law Timothy Barrett of Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Harley's life will be held at a later date at the families convenience to honor the legacy, love and laughter he brought to all who knew him.
