Dixfield, Maine - September 12, 2023 late at night, King Lan Chow, 83, of Dixfield, ME, passed away at CMMC Lewiston after a short but intense fight against Cancer. He naturally braved through this battle in his own way with the support of his beloved children and grandchildren by his side. Early that morning, he also had a chance to see all his extended family, which really made him happy.
He was born in 1940 April 29th in Burma (Myanmar) to (Chow Kong Wine) and (Lock Pike Yun) and is survived by his wife Susan Chow, 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
He came to America to start a new life in the early 80’s and he worked hard for his family. He retired in 2007 to spend his time feeding his grandchildren, which is his favorite thing to do.
He lived by a simple code and show everyone he loves how to live by “Never say no to food!”
Viewing will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Thibault Remembrance Center 250 Penobscot St, Rumford, Me 04276.
The funeral procession will start at the Thibault Remembrance Center on Sunday September 17 at 10:00am and will arrive at Greenwood Cemetery 100 Weld street, Dixfield, Me 04224.
