He was born in Rumford on May 4, 1940 a son of Joseph L. and Marie A. (Boucher) Simard.
Roger is survived by his daughter Becky Simard, grandchildren; Jacob Simard and Zaraya Simard, dog Molly and his recently deceased dog Barnaby, sisters; Irene Richard, Lorraine Barre, Constance Jacques, Brandy Burgess, Teresa Weber, Sylvia Simard, brothers; Joseph Simard, Robert Simard and wife Anita, Daryl Simard and many friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Roger was a Mason by trade and was known for the exquisite fire places that he designed and built.
He was a member of the Fraternal order of Eagles and the Snow Shoe Club.
