“Chris” Brown was born on October 23, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, and died peacefully on March 19, 2020, in St. Louis, MO, after a long struggle with dementia, lovingly cared for by the wonderful nurses and staff at Laclede Groves.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Lee Brown, daughter Bonnie Christine Brown, and son David Robert Brown. Chris is survived by her brother, Rev. Jeffrey Lindgren (Rev. Kendra Nolde), several cousins, a number of nieces and nephews, and many friends, mostly in Illinois and Florida. She loved birds (especially flamingos), flowers, and dogs.
Chris was proud of her working career, which began as personal secretary to P. K. Wrigley (then owner of the Wrigley Chewing Gum Company) and completed as office manager for the Morraine Valley District of the Girl Scouts of America.
A service of remembrance was held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Clayton, MO
