Kenny was born to Vivian Aus in Valley City, North Dakota on December 13, 1932 where he lived and worked the majority of his life. After serving in the US Army (Korea) in the mid-1950’s, he returned to marry his loving wife Eleanor (Langemo) on September 7, 1957 and they made their life together. Having an innate understanding of mechanics, his work in Valley City led him to farming, vehicle maintenance, and keeping select City schools and the County’s Courthouse in good repair. Blessed with a wry sense of humor, time with Kenny was peppered with amusing comments and stories collected throughout his life – all sharing a spirit of service and care. As an avid fisherman, race fan, dog-lover and snowmobiler, Kenny enjoyed the outdoors immensely and fostered that in his children and grandchildren. In his latest years, Kenny resided at Johanna Shores in Arden Hills, Minnesota to be near the care and community of his daughters Julie and Diane.
Kenny is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, sister Marlene Siedschlag, and brother-in-law Aldean Klein. Kenny is survived by his daughters Julie Markley (Shoreview, MN), Diane Wild (Arden Hills, MN), and son Keith Henningsgard (Oslo, MN), brothers Milton Aus (Kindred, ND) and Duane Aus (Box Elder, SD). He is blessed with grandchildren Holly Henricks, Nick Markley, Taylor Wild, Mackenzie Wild, Kyle Henningsgard – and one great-grandchild, Cole Henningsgard.
