She was a Beautiful person inside and out

Biography

At the age of 81, Lieselotte (Lisa), of Oakdale and formerly Wertheim, Germany, passed away peacefully on Sunday (Mother’s Day), May 12, 2019 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family.

Lisa was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandma (Oma) and friend. She was a clean freak, strong minded entrepreneur, self-teacher, taxi, saver and an unconditional loving, caring, funny, transparent and generous person. Inspired many. Beautiful, inside and out.
She loved to keep her home clean and orderly. Not sure she loved to do laundry; however, there would not be a night that went by that any clothes that hit the laundry would be cleaned by morning. This trait has been passed down to her children.

She started her residential cleaning business many years ago with many satisfied customers. She never had to advertise as word mouth was her marketing strategy, due to how well she left homes looking. Lisa took a great deal of pride in cleaning. She taught all her children the art of a clean home. Her residential business still thrives today through her son Frank and grandson Brandon with most of her original clients who are enjoying the service to this day. Not only did she teach how to keep things neat and tidy, she taught a lot of German language to her family, and shared many cooking skills and recipes: such as her delicious scalped potatoes.

Lisa was also a self-teacher, as she learned English and how to drive without formal education.
Many friends of her children enjoyed the rides she provided to every sporting event or activity her children had. Who could ever forget the wood grain station wagon!

Her best personal traits were contagious. She was transparently funny, always provided quick wit and openness like no other. She literally would give you her last dollar, she loved to save, and to make certain you had what you needed, only to build up her nest egg again. She loved to cook, sing, crack jokes to make people smile, and she especially would love to have family gatherings. Her love for her family was most precious.
Further, Lisa inspired many with her caring ways. This is most relevant by how her son Galen cared for her since the passing of her husband Carl. Galen has Lisa’s loving and caring touch and Lisa’s life was prolonged due to Galen’s unrelentless commitment of taking great care of Lisa. Lisa’s true angel.
Lisa, Mom, Oma will be missed more than words can describe; however, her memory is filled with joy and love for all of us.
