Beatrice “Aunt Peaches” Marie Cranfield, 85, of Salisbury passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at Salisbury Center Genesis. Born November 30, 1934 in Pittsville she was the daughter of the late George B. and Lydia Ellen Wyatt Holston.
She worked at Salisbury Shirt Factory and later worked as a Research Farm Manager at Perdue in Westover. She was a member of Delmarva Evangelist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. She enjoyed writing short stories, poems, drawing, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her four children, Kathy Cranfield, Richard Cranfield, James Cranfield (Sue), and Walt Cranfield (Sherrie); eight grandchildren, Tammy Nutter, Dawn Blades, Katie Cole, Nichole Walker, J.T. Cranfield, Jason Walton, Kelly Smith, Shannon Chandler; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy F. Cranfield in 1995; two daughters, Rebecca Cranfield and Laura Davis; three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Pastor Chuck Reynold will officiate. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park.
