Bruce was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and tinkering with cars. He drove a truck for Perdue for over 30 years and was a member of the Million Mile Club under his handle “Egg Buster”.
In addition to his father, William; Bruce is survived by three children, Crystal L. Bratten (Harry Kinsell), Bruce, Jr. (Theresa Twilley), and Brian Bratten; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Wilma Mumford (Ron Mumford), Marilyn Geaglone (Paul Geaglone), and Valarie Cooper; brother, Mark Bratten (Priscilla Bratten); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Terry Cooper.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Pastor Danny Travers will officiate. Interment will follow in Pittsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday 2pm-4pm at the funeral home.
