Doris Marie Baker Justice

Doris Marie Baker Justice, 90, of Salisbury Maryland passed away June 13, 2025 at Peregrine Senior Living where she resided for 3 ½ years. She was the daughter of the late Norman S. & Bessie Farlow Baker, who passed away in 1972 only 3 days apart. She grew up in Willards, MD and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1953.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Rae Justice McCann and her husband John. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Spencer Justice & his wife Dorothy as well as several nieces and nephews and their children.

She was predeceased by her husband, Roland James Justice in 1988. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William I. Baker (2015) and Norman F. Baker (infant). She was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law.

She began working as a waitress at Reads Restaurant in downtown Salisbury, Maryland. She later transitioned to the drugstore section upstairs as a cashier. She worked at different locations, and it eventually was purchased by Rite Aid. She worked there for 56 years, retiring in 2018. She was very meticulous in her cosmetics department.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, June 19, 2025 1pm at Springhill Memory Gardens, Rt 50 West, Hebron Maryland. Pastor Pam Ward will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Bounds Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MAC Life Bridges program, 909 Progress Drive, Salisbury Maryland 21804. They provide day care services for those who suffer with dementia and Alzheimer’s or Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 who has provided additional care the last few months.
