Duane Frederick Shores

Duane was born on July 27th, 1978, to Norman Frederick Shores and Joann Shores of Salisbury, MD.

A graduate of Wicomico County High School class of 1998. Duane was a devoted 49ers fan; he spent many Sundays cheering on his team with passion and pride. He found peace in his “indoor jungle” caring for his many house plants. And his creative spirit shined through in his art that captured the way he saw the world. He enjoyed spending time with friends, family and his 2 dogs. Duane had an infectious laugh and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his father, Fred Shores: Brothers Tommy Foxwell and Jason Shores and Sister Tracey Powell (Richard). Nephews Jack Powell (Jordi) Logan Foxwell and Sean Shores with whom he was very close. Niece April Blackwell.

(Grant) and Emma Foxwell. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joann Shores and niece Sarah Foxwell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday Feb. 10th , 2026 at 12pm at Powellville United Methodist Church on 35606 Mount Hermon Rd Pittsville MD.
