Elena Rosemere Shahan, 82, of Salisbury passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born December 18, 1940 in Cambridge, MD she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Fredricka Rosemere.
Elena graduate from Cambridge High School and Salisbury State College with a Bachelor of Science. She was a Science teach at Wi-Jr and Wi-Sr and finished her career at Parkside High School. She was a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution, American Legion Post 64, and the VFW Post 194. She was an outdoor adventurist. She loved high mountains, snow peaks, the Great Plains. He favorite animals were wolves, bison, and bears.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth, Kevin, Kelly, Karen, and Dixie; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Jack; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dixon Shahan; and brother, Conrad and sister, Gretchen.
Following cremation a service will be held at a later date.
