Evelyn Effie Deel, 86, of Salisbury passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Aurora Manokin Manor in Princess Anne. Born January 21, 1934 in Harmony, MD she was the daughter of the late Floyd W. and Emma Fluharty Coleman.
Effie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, reading, “peaches”, and having pictures of family and friends. She was a member of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Salisbury.
She is survived by her son, Michael “Brian” Deel and his wife Linda; daughter Sandra “Sandy” Jean Raynor and her husband Scott; grandson Aaron Christopher Raynor and his wife Robyn; three great-grandchildren, Emory, Aaron, and Armon Raynor; sister-in-law, Betty Sirmons; brother-in-law, Douglas Deel; many nieces and nephews; her lifelong best friend Katherine Daffin; and special pets, Mamma Kitty and Kit Kat. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Emory Bryan Deel in 2005; brother, Floyd Coleman; five sisters, Ruth Eason, Louise Blades, Alma Hobbs, Barbara Gannon, and Dorothy Brown.
A funeral service in compliance with Maryland COVID restrictions will be held Friday at 2pm at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens.
