Fred E. Webster, Jr. 65, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born August 12, 1955 he was the son of Betty A Horsman Webster and the late Fred E. Webster, Sr.
A 1973 graduate of Bennett High School where he started his Disc Jockey career, he went on to DJ for WICO, WJDY, WDMV, and other radio stations. He began his career in Emergency Services as a dispatcher at Salisbury Police Department and Wicomico County. He advanced to Emergency Management with Wicomico County and from there he went to Worcester County and served as Assistant Director. He retired as Director of Emergency Services of Worcester County. After retirement he worked part-time as a valet at TidalHealth and Marshalls Nursery. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where he served as Sound Tech for CAYR Service, Maryland Emergency Management Association, International Association of Emergency Workers, and Life Member and former Ambulance Captain with the Delmar Fire Department.
In addition to his mother Betty, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Doris N. Webster; children, Lisa N. Gordy and her husband Ronald, Wayne W. Naumann, Jr. and his wife Sheila, and David M. Naumann; grandchildren, Richard Tawes, Brooke Naumann, Brittany Graham and her husband James, and Ryan Naumann; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held Thursday at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
