George Henry Robertson, 87, of Hebron died peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD. He was born October 5, 1936 in Whitehaven, MD and was the son of the late George H and Matilda L Robertson.
Henry had a 32-year career as service provider for Tri County gas and later a dispatcher at Sharp Energy. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, crabbing, and just about anything, that had to do with the water. He loved rabbit hunting with his brother, Bobby and helping him with his garden every year. He had a sister, Betty whom he loved to go and see whenever she cooked a good muskrat dinner with ford hook beans from the garden and homemade wet corn bread. He also had a big love for the game of baseball and would love to talk about the Yankees to anyone who wanted to listen. There were often stories told about how strong he was around Salisbury and how he was always up for a challenge. But most of all he just loved spending time with his wife and children.
In addition to his wife, Rosalie Robertson of 69 years he is survived by his sons, George H. Robertson and his wife Angie of Salisbury, Robert Robertson and Matt from Hagerstown; and his daughter, Lynne Donaldson and Wade from Aurora, CO; his granddaughter, Heather Carson and Jay; his grandsons Jacob and his wife Amal and Josh Robertson; his great-grandsons, Jaden and Chase; his great-granddaughter, Shannon; two nephews, Robert Phillips and his wife Lori and Chucky Phillips. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby and sister, Betty.
At the request of the family there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in memory of Henry to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
