Born in Salisbury, Patty was raised in the home of Ralph and Phyllis Lewis. She was employed for several years in Jodi’s Shirt Factory, and ultimately retired as a floor supervisor from Sherwood of Salisbury. She was also an active member of the American Legion, Post 237 in Hebron.
Patty will be fondly remembered by all who knew her as a remarkable woman who would give you everything she could, but wanted for nothing. She was always willing to listen, and never judged. She loved her music and loved to dance. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her beyond words.
Patty was preceded in death by her father Handy Layfield in 2003, and Ralph and Phyllis Lewis. She is survived by her husband Jerry Cook; son Michael Wyatt and Lynn; two grandchildren Brandi and Josh Wyatt, great-grandson Tucker Wyatt; and former daughter-in-law, Lori Wyatt. Patty is also survived by her extended special family: Becky Webb, Beannie Webb, Tracey Twilley, Gary Webb, Ashley Bowers, Bradley Bowers, Doug Bowers, Josh Bowers, and all of her other dear friends too many to mention.
Please join the family as they celebrate Patty’s life on Saturday, January 15, 2022 starting at 2:00pm at the American Legion Post 237 in Hebron.
