Verlin "Bill" Richard Lovett

Verlin “Bill” Richard Lovett, 82, of Salisbury went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 13, 2022 on the 25th anniversary of his second birth. Born July 29, 1939 in Stearns, KY he was the son of the late Johnnie and Christine Lovett.

Along with his wife Ella, he owned Lovett Industries for many years. He was a devoted member of Salisbury Baptist Temple. He was a loving family man and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ella Lovett; seven children, Vanessa Adams, late Richard Lovett, Theresa Thoene, Patricia Jackson, Angel Taylor, David Humphrey, James Humphrey; fourteen grandchildren; George Adams, Nina Schaffer, Nicole Hill, Jeremy Thoene, Jason Thoene, Ryan Thoene, Roxanne Humphrey, Mallory Humphrey, Mikaela Jackson, Tori Taylor, Stacey Humphrey, Callie Merritt, Cameo Sargent, and Katie Humphrey; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Lovett; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and son, he was preceded in death by siblings, Doyle, Ralph, Carol, Vestal, Joyce, and Jackie.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 12pm at Salisbury Baptist Temple, 6413 Hobbs Rd, Salisbury, MD 21804 where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Pastor Carlo Leto will officiate. Interment will follow in Parsons Cemetery.
